Hepatic disease; monitor liver function. Neonates; pregnancy, lactation.

Adverse Reactions
Jaundice and liver dysfunction (reversible); GI disturbances. IV: Venospasm, thrombophloebitis and haemolysis; hypocalcaemia.
SC/IM: Tissue necrosis. Topical: Rashes and irritation.

Drug Interactions
Synergistic action with antistaphylococcal penicillin. Antagonism with ciprofloxacin.
